On the 18th, Media Solidarity announced the appointment of Lee Jaeman, former Supreme Council Member of the Liberty Korea Party (predecessor of the People Power Party), as the head of the Media Solidarity Daegu·Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters to expand its outreach.

Lee, who served twice as the mayor of Dong-gu, Daegu, has recently been running 'Jaebrado Lee Jaeman' on YouTube and Facebook, leading efforts to eradicate fake news.
Hwang Wooseop, the standing representative, said, “We highly appreciate former Supreme Council Member Lee, a politician representing the Daegu·Gyeongbuk region, for his dedication to eradicating fake news and normalizing public broadcasting, and thus appointed him as the head of the Daegu·Gyeongbuk Headquarters. We look forward to his active activities going forward.”
Lee stated, “The war against false and distorted news by left-wing media that flourished during the previous Moon Jae-in administration is still ongoing. As the head of Media Solidarity’s Daegu·Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, I will devote myself to eradicating fake news.”
Earlier on the 15th, Lee criticized through a post titled ‘The True Face of the Left, MBC’s Irresponsibility’ on his Facebook, saying, “MBC was asked by the court to clearly prove whether it was Biden or not, but they failed to properly explain and only repeated the Democratic Party-style stubbornness.”
He added, “Public broadcasting filled with fake news is no longer public broadcasting. If public broadcasting, which should be neutral and rational, only acts as a left-wing’s henchman and mouthpiece through biased and emotional reporting, then they should relinquish their status as public broadcasters and instead operate broadcasts solely for themselves within personal broadcasting platforms.”
Meanwhile, Media Solidarity is a media civic organization launched in 2018 advocating for free and fair press movements.
