Gyeongsangnam-do is launching the nation’s first-ever “Anti-Corruption 3-No (無) Movement” to further enhance integrity.
On the 17th, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will promote three key actions with those related to official duties: ▲no meal entertainment ▲no gift exchange ▲no abuse of power.
Regarding the integrity assessments conducted annually by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the province explained that instead of stopping at evaluations, it aims to establish a culture of integrity throughout the public sector within the province and fundamentally strengthen the integrity system by implementing this integrity movement.
The Anti-Corruption 3-No Movement in Gyeongnam targets ▲all employees of the provincial government ▲those involved in construction or service contracts worth 20 million KRW or more ▲and those executing subsidized projects worth 5 million KRW or more, who are subjects of external perception surveys by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and it is expected to expand to all sectors within the province in the future.
The province plans to first spread the culture of integrity through various online and offline means, including pledges to participate in the Anti-Corruption 3-No Movement by all employees, relay promotions by senior officials, promotion through various official documents, and digital advertisements in the provincial government building.
Additionally, a promotional video will be produced and broadcast on Gyeongnam Province’s social media (SNS) channels or shown before events hosted by the province.
Audit Committee Chairman Bae Jong-gweol said, “I hope that the Anti-Corruption 3-No Movement, which is the first of its kind nationwide, will not be a one-time event but will take root as a sound public service culture within the province and spread widely across the country.”
