Demolition Site Under Review for Green Space and Sports Park Development

The existing snow removal material storage warehouse in Sinryeong-ri, Daedeok-myeon, has been a facility that has continuously received complaints from residents since the move-in of Lotte Castle Apartments in 2009, citing damage to the urban landscape and residents' living environment.
The city selected the Daedeok Tunnel middle division area in Sinsohyeon-dong as the replacement site through consultation with the Suwon Regional Land Management Office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and began new construction in August last year. The city is particularly considering utilizing the site of the demolished existing warehouse as green space, a plaza, or a sports park.
Kim Bora, mayor of Anseong City, said, "We will continue to listen to the voices of local residents and do our best to create a better living environment."
