160 Million Won Invested in 10 Sectors
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that it will promote the '2024 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project' to distribute the latest farming technologies by crop type and enhance agricultural competitiveness in response to changes in the agricultural environment.
This project is being promoted to disseminate the latest technologies to farms so that new agricultural technologies developed and researched by the Rural Development Administration can be established early. The project covers 10 fields including food crops, horticultural technology, fruit tree technology, seed research, and agricultural product processing, with a total budget of 1.608 billion KRW allocated to 89 locations.
Farmers who wish to participate in the pilot project can apply in writing to the Hwaseong Agricultural Technology Center by the 6th of next month. Detailed information such as eligibility and application documents can be found on the Hwaseong City Hall and Hwaseong Agricultural Technology Center websites.
The city plans to finalize the selection of project participants by the end of next month after on-site investigations and review by the Industry-Academia Cooperation Deliberation Committee.
Shin Mi-young, director of the Hwaseong Agricultural Technology Center, said, "This project has been prepared to provide practical help to farms through the dissemination of technology for the early establishment of new agricultural technologies."
