Purpose of Developing Specialized Products and Strengthening Promotion and Marketing
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that it will provide 50 million KRW in marketing program costs to small business communities within the city to revitalize the stagnant neighborhood commercial districts.
This project is part of the "Neighborhood Commercial District Community Revitalization Project," which the city is launching for the first time this year to help small business owners struggling with management difficulties recover the stagnant neighborhood commercial districts. The city plans to select five communities and support them with up to 10 million KRW each.
The support targets communities composed of at least 30 small business owners based in neighborhood commercial districts. These must be organizations with appointed representatives such as merchant associations, and the same commercial district must not overlap within one community.
The city plans to support event projects such as specialized festivals, events, flea markets, and joint coupon issuance, as well as promotional projects including video or leaflet production, logo design, and website operation. Specialized projects that develop representative products reflecting the characteristics of the commercial district and devise marketing strategies will also be supported.
Interested organizations can download the application form from the city’s website from the 22nd to the 31st and apply by visiting the Civil Economy Division at City Hall or by email.
