CrowdWorks is showing strong performance. It appears that securities firms' analysis, which suggests that the company will turn profitable this year as a GPT firm that actually makes money, is influencing the stock price.
As of 9:08 AM on the 15th, CrowdWorks was trading at 40,850 KRW, up 2,650 KRW (6.94%) compared to the previous trading day.
Founded in 2017, CrowdWorks is a large language model (LLM) data company. Jo Jeong-hyun, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated, "It is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of OpenAI's GPT Store launch," and explained, "The GPT Store is an AI app store where companies and individual users can buy and sell customized GPTs (AI-based apps) based on OpenAI's ChatGPT model."
He added, "In line with the purpose of launching the GPT builder, the core tasks are building and structuring AI datasets, fine-tuning general-purpose LLMs, integrating API services, and additional learning with new data," and expressed expectations that "starting this year, the company will transform into a GPT firm operating across the entire value chain by entering high value-added businesses such as LLM model fine-tuning → GPT service integration → GPT development and maintenance."
He emphasized, "As AI apps become more advanced in the GPT Store, high-quality datasets and model fine-tuning are essential," and highlighted, "CrowdWorks is the number one domestic company leading the market with references and know-how in LLM dataset construction and fine-tuning projects with major domestic and international AI companies, including Naver HyperCLOVA."
It is forecasted to record sales of 35.3 billion KRW and operating profit of 7.1 billion KRW this year. Sales are expected to increase by 54.8% compared to last year, with operating profit turning positive. Researcher Jo noted, "Among domestic listed companies known as GPT-related stocks, despite the expected turnaround in performance this year, attention should be paid to the undervaluation compared to EastSoft and Polaris Office."
He explained, "CrowdWorks is the only listed company in Korea capable of fine-tuning general-purpose large language models such as Naver HyperCLOVA, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and Llama (Meta)," and added, "Since launching the fine-tuning solution LLM platform last September, it is currently conducting over 60 PoCs."
He continued, "Fine-tuning is also expected to play a key role in the GPT Store," and expressed expectations that "project demand will accelerate for CrowdWorks, which holds a dominant position in the domestic high-quality data sector."
