[Weather] Cloudy with Snow Nationwide... Seoul City Declares Emergency Snow Removal Duty

On Saturday the 30th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy with snow.

The expected snowfall over the weekend is 2 to 7 cm in Seoul and eastern Gyeonggi, 1 to 5 cm in western Gyeonggi, 5 to 15 cm in the Gangwon mountain areas, 3 to 8 cm in inland Gangwon, and 5 to 10 mm in the Chungcheong region, Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island.

In particular, Seoul city announced that from 6 a.m. on the 30th, 1 to 5 cm of snow (2 to 7 cm in the northeast area) is forecasted, and starting from 11 p.m. on the 29th, it will issue a level 1 emergency snow removal duty and deploy snow removal vehicles and equipment. The city will prepare for the snowfall by deploying 4,635 personnel and 1,168 snow removal machines in cooperation with autonomous districts and related organizations.

The expected precipitation amount is around 5 to 20 mm in most areas.

The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between -5 and 4℃, and the daytime high temperature between 1 and 12℃.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, and Yeongnam region, and 'normal' in other regions.

In Gangwon Yeongseo, Gwangju, and Jeonnam, fine dust levels are expected to be temporarily 'bad' in the morning.
