Gwangju Buk-gu Selects 7 'Best Policies'

Gwangju Metropolitan City's Buk-gu district has selected seven 'Best Policies.'

According to Buk-gu on the 27th, after about two months since last November, through the first evaluation by the district administration adjustment committee and other internal evaluation teams, and the second voting by external experts and residents, seven outstanding policies that greatly contributed to the development of the district administration, including improving residents' convenience, were selected from 24 candidate policies promoted throughout the year.

The honored first place among this year's selected outstanding policies was awarded to the 'Integrated Elderly Medical Care Support Pilot Project,' which invested 2.8 billion KRW in preparation for the super-aged society. Since July, this project has provided integrated support for medical care, housekeeping, and housing to seniors aged 75 and over, successfully settling residents in need of care within their local communities.

Additionally, the policies ranked second to fourth were the 'Visiting Kiosk Education,' which aimed to expand digital experience opportunities for the digitally marginalized; the 'Citizen's Forest Barefoot Walking Trail Remodeling,' promoted to provide residents with a comfortable barefoot walking environment in line with the barefoot walking trend; and the 'Sandonggyo Waterside Park Outdoor Water Playground Free Operation' policy, which created a space where people can enjoy water play for free in the city center, sparking revitalization of the local community play culture.

The fifth place was taken by the participation and play-based 'Creating a Child-Friendly City Where All Children Are Happy,' sixth by 'Establishing a Youth Startup Ecosystem' utilizing local resources, and seventh by the 'On-site Contract Achievement of $2 Million in 광융합 (Gwangyung) Lifestyle Consumer Goods Products.'
