Separate Sale, Comprehensive Business Transfer Method
Letter of Intent Submission by February 29 Next Year
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 27th that it conducted a sale announcement for the Asan Baebang·Tangjeong and Daejeon Seonambu district energy projects on the 26th.
The sale is based on a comprehensive business transfer method for individual district energy projects, and the sale will be conducted through an open competitive bidding process.
Eligibility to participate in the bidding is limited to those who do not fall under the disqualification criteria specified in Article 10 of the District Energy Business Act.
LH will accept Letters of Intent (LOI) for acquisition until February 29 of next year, select the main bidders in March, and conduct the main bidding in May.
Detailed information regarding the sale can be found in the "Korea Land and Housing Corporation District Energy Business Sale Announcement" posted on the LH website under the public notice section.
The sale of district energy projects was promoted in accordance with the LH management innovation plan announced by the government in 2021. Last July, Samjong KPMG was selected as the lead sales agent, and the bidding process was conducted for the integrated sale of two projects, but the final bid was unsuccessful as it was below the expected price.
An LH official stated, "This individual sale promotion is expected to attract interest from many businesses as the physical distance between the two project sites and the burden of acquisition costs are reduced."
