Stable Payment to Partners: Win-Win Settlement Surpasses 1000 Trillion Won

Annual Spending Exceeds 160 Trillion Won

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 25th that the cumulative usage amount of the Win-Win Payment system has surpassed 1,000 trillion KRW. The Win-Win Payment system is a payment system equipped with the function of directly paying transaction amounts from top-tier purchasing companies (large corporations, local governments, etc.) to lower-tier partner companies. Lower-tier partners can receive cash on the payment date (within 60 days after delivery) or, if they need funds, can discount and cash out early using the credit of the top-tier purchasing company. The annual usage amount of the Win-Win Payment system has been increasing every year, exceeding 160 trillion KRW since last year.

In particular, this year, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the performance of the Win-Win Payment system was reflected in the joint evaluation of local governments, allowing local governments that actively use the Win-Win Payment system to receive higher evaluations. As a result, all metropolitan local governments nationwide have newly introduced the Win-Win Payment system and are paying delivery amounts to local SMEs through the Win-Win Payment system.

Additionally, the Win-Win Payment system, which was mainly used in manufacturing, has been adopted by distribution platforms such as Public Home Shopping, SK Stoa, and E-Land World, supporting small business owners who have stores in these companies to early cash out 1.6 trillion KRW annually from product sales proceeds.

Jung Ki-hwan, Director of the Win-Win Cooperation Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "As the Win-Win Payment system spreads, a payment environment is being created where SMEs and small business owners receive delivery payments on time and can use funds in advance." He added, "We will continue to expand the use of the Win-Win Payment system to lower-tier partners of large corporations and the public construction sector by providing incentives to companies utilizing the Win-Win Payment system."
