Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends 2023 Nowon Christmas Festival (White&Light Christmas in Nowon)

On the 24th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the 2023 Nowon Christmas Festival (White&Light Christmas in Nowon) held at Hwarangdae Railroad Park in Seoul.

‘Hwarangdae Railroad Park’ was selected as one of the ‘100 Regional Cultural Attractions’ by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism last October, establishing itself as a representative landmark of Korea beyond the district.

To celebrate Christmas, the district planned the Nowon Christmas Festival around Hwarangdae Railroad Park so that families can enjoy a joyful time together close to home without having to travel far.

The festival featured various programs from 12 PM to 6 PM, including carol performances, a Christmas market, and a Santa mime event.

The event was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, National Assembly member Woo Won-shik, Seoul City Council member Seo Jun-o, among others, and proceeded with greetings followed by the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, “Nowon District has prepared a Christmas gift for its residents,” and added, “We hope all families spend a healing time at Hwarangdae Railroad Park, transformed into Santa Village.”
