Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, suggested a generational change in the Emergency Response Committee to Han Dong-hoon, the former Minister of Justice who was nominated as the party's Emergency Response Committee Chairman, saying, "All members of the Emergency Response Committee should be born after the 1970s."

On the 22nd, Ha stated through social media (SNS), "For the innovation and complete transformation of our party, I propose a generational change in the Emergency Response Committee to Chairman Han," adding, "If all members of the Emergency Response Committee are born after the 1970s, we can show the public a changed image of the party." Ha emphasized, "It is Han Dong-hoon's time until next year's general election. The public will watch Chairman Han and our party with mixed expectations and concerns," and stressed, "We need to expand our party, which is based in Yeongnam, into a metropolitan and youth party."

He also argued, "Although the dictatorship era ended long ago, the 586 Democratic Party (people in their 50s, university entrants in the 1980s, born in the 1960s) still clings to the past. Let's have the younger and fresher 789 party (people born in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s) judge them." He then listed many excellent young talents born after the 1970s within the party, both inside and outside the National Assembly.

Ha added, "The decisive battleground in this general election is ultimately the metropolitan area," and said, "Let's present the public with a changed image of our party starting from the composition of the Emergency Response Committee. Only then can we win the hearts of the youth and moderate voters and achieve victory in the metropolitan area."
