According to reports on the 21st (local time) citing the monitoring website Downdetector, users experiencing the outage could not see any posts other than the message "Welcome to X."

The search function was also not working, and the X PRO (formerly TweetDeck) feature, which allows users to view multiple timelines and notification windows at a glance, showed only a "Waiting for posts" notification, resulting in a loading failure.

Downdetector identified that 47,000 users in the United States alone experienced access issues on X and X PRO.

According to dpa news agency, approximately 4,000 service outage reports were recorded on Downdetector by 6 a.m. GMT on the same day.

Bloomberg reported that by 2:38 p.m. Korean time, over 74,000 users had reported issues.

After the outage occurred, hashtags related to connection errors gained popularity at the top of the real-time trends (search terms). The number of searches to check whether the connection failure was due to an "update" exceeded 10,198, and other trending terms included ▲Tamra Anbo ▲Account Suspension ▲Elon Musk ▲Timeline ▲Get a Grip ▲Can't See, ranking high in the real-time trends.

The cause of the outage has not yet been identified.

Meanwhile, since Elon Musk acquired X, errors on the platform have become more frequent. Users experienced inconveniences due to access failures in March and July of this year as well.
