The 'Customized Factory Fire Reduction Support Project,' which has been implemented since last year, is a project that supports fire prevention in small-scale factories to reduce factory fires caused mainly by electrical causes.
Under this agreement, the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation will be entrusted with a total project cost of 216 million KRW and will promote the fire prevention support project starting from January next year.
The support targets are 500 small-scale workplaces with fewer than 50 employees and electricity usage below 75 kW, providing ▲ electrical safety inspections ▲ support for electrical safety equipment (such as leakage circuit breakers and fire patch attachments) ▲ education on improving non-compliant electrical facilities.
Lee Byeong-yeol, Director of Planning and Coordination at Hwaseong City, said, "We will continue to take the lead in fire prevention and response to protect the precious lives and property of our citizens."
Meanwhile, at the signing ceremony, Hwaseong City also awarded the 'Disaster Safety Merit Mayor's Commendation' to employees of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters who contributed to making Hwaseong City safe through disaster and accident prevention and response activities.
