Lotte Chilsung Launches 'Killikanun The Dragon Shiraz'... "Wine Commemorating the Year of the Blue Dragon"

Powerful Full-Body Wine with Rich Fruit Flavor Strengths

Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 21st that it will release a commemorative wine, 'Kilikanoon the Dragon Shiraz,' to celebrate the Year of the Blue Dragon, 2024, the Gapjin Year (甲辰年).

Kilikanoon the Dragon Shiraz is a wine jointly planned by Lotte Chilsung and the Australian premium winery 'Kilikanoon' to commemorate the Year of the Blue Dragon. The label features a design that harmonizes the blue color representing the heavenly stem (天干) of the Gapjin Year and the dragon, the earthly branch (地支) animal. The dragon on the label is inspired by the Blue Dragon talisman from Geunjeongjeon Hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace (held at the National Palace Museum).

Established in 1997, Kilikanoon, despite its relatively short history of just over 20 years, has continuously innovated and developed to produce the finest wines. It has been recognized by wine critic Robert Parker as "the most dazzlingly progressive winery in Australia."

Made from Australian Shiraz grapes with an alcohol content of 14.5%, Kilikanoon the Dragon Shiraz impresses with its powerful full-bodied texture, rich fruit flavors, smooth tannins, and a long finish. It pairs well with various meats, steaks, aged cheeses, roasted vegetables, and spicy dishes. Kilikanoon the Dragon Shiraz is available in a limited quantity of 4,950 bottles and can be purchased at major department stores and large supermarkets nationwide.
