Jindo-gun Receives Excellence Award in 2023 Carbon Neutral Tree Planting Evaluation

Active Promotion of Resident Participation Projects Such as '365 Flowering Jindo Creation'

Jindo County won the Excellence Award in the 2023 Carbon Neutral Tree Planting Evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do.

According to the county on the 14th, the Carbon Neutral Tree Planting Evaluation selects and awards cities and counties that actively participate and practice creating urban forests, participatory forests, and living forests through voluntary participation of village residents or organizations.

Jindo County received high scores in a total of 16 indicators across three areas of forest policy: △creation, △management, and △policy participation, earning the Excellence Award.

In particular, by actively promoting the campaign "Making Jindo Bloom 365," a pledge of the 8th local government administration, the county led efforts to plant and cultivate flowers and trees, creating a beautiful and pleasant forest environment, which received excellent evaluations.

An official from the Jindo County Forest Recreation Division said, “As the number of forest recreation visitors continues to increase, Jindo County is promoting the public-private partnership campaign 'Making Jindo Bloom 365.' We will contribute to enhancing the image of Treasure Island by creating beautiful landscapes that provide various attractions for tourists and local residents visiting our area.”
