The police have detected suspicions of embezzlement of company funds by former CEO Park Hyun-jong of the comprehensive dining company bhc and have launched a forced investigation.
The Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 11th that they conducted a search and seizure at former CEO Park's residence in Songpa-gu and bhc headquarters on charges of breach of trust and embezzlement.
The police are investigating on the grounds that former CEO Park embezzled approximately 2 billion KRW of company money for personal use.
Earlier, Global Gourmet Services (hereinafter GGS), the holding company of bhc, held a board meeting on the 6th of last month and dismissed former CEO Park from his position as CEO of bhc.
