Professor Lee Dan of National Pukyong University Receives 'Outstanding Reviewer Award' from the Korean Association of Chinese Studies

Professor Li Dan from the Department of Chinese Studies at the National Pukyong University recently received the Excellent Reviewer Award at the 2023 Autumn International Academic Conference commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Korean Association of Chinese Studies (President Kim Hyun-tae), held at Pusan National University.

Professor Li Dan was recognized for significantly contributing to the qualitative improvement of submitted papers and academic journals through diligent and fair manuscript reviews.

Professor Li Dan stated, “I will strive to conduct reviews more diligently and fairly to enhance the quality and development of the Korean Association of Chinese Studies’ journal, Chinese Studies.”

This international academic conference was organized by the Korean Association of Chinese Studies and co-hosted by Dong-A University Confucius Academy, the National Pukyong University Humanities Korea Plus Project Group, and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Pusan National University. It was held under the main theme “Cultural Exchange in the Maritime Areas between Korea and China: Its History and Present,” with over 200 scholars from universities nationwide participating.

Since its founding in 1983, the Korean Association of Chinese Studies has enrolled over 1,000 scholars and experts related to Chinese studies as members. It is a nationwide academic society conducting research across all fields of Chinese studies, including linguistics, culture, and social sciences, and publishes the Korean Research Foundation-registered journal Chinese Studies quarterly.
