Imsil-gun to Host Santa Festival at Cheese Theme Park from 23rd to 25th

Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 11th that it will hold the representative winter festival, the 2023 Imsil Santa Festival, at Imsil Cheese Theme Park from the 23rd to the 25th.

As part of the Jeollabuk-do representative tourism site development project, the Imsil Santa Festival has received great acclaim from visitors every year since 2017.

This year as well, the festival will create a beautiful Christmas atmosphere through various programs and attractions, and by dividing the area into themed zones, it will offer many joys and memorable experiences to families and couples through various hands-on programs and gift events.

In particular, distinctive programs will be held in each zone, including the main special stage where various performances take place, a photo zone with a splendid Christmas tree for beautiful photos, an experience zone with various hands-on booths, a play zone full of fun activities, and a food zone where visitors can enjoy delicious food.

The Santa Parade Contest, the festival’s representative program, is a parade program where participating groups march throughout the theme park wearing unique Santa costumes and creating a winter atmosphere. Applications are accepted for groups of 8 or more, and a participation support fee of 500,000 KRW is provided.

To recreate the winter representative sledding play, the festival plans to operate a cheese curling rink and a Santa sledding area, and visitors can also enjoy various family-friendly hands-on activities such as making family trees and gingerbread houses.

County Governor Shim Min said, “We are doing our best to prepare to make Imsil Cheese Theme Park a festival venue full of attractions throughout the four seasons,” and added, “We hope you come to Imsil Cheese Theme Park this winter as well to create beautiful and special memories and enjoy the Imsil Santa Festival.”

Meanwhile, to enhance convenience for visitors to the Imsil Santa Festival, the county plans to operate a shuttle bus between Jeonju and Imsil.

The route circulates between Jeonju Sports Complex, Hanok Village (Lahan Hotel), and Imsil Cheese Theme Park (festival site), operating at one-hour intervals.
