Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) Battery Innovation Convergence College Project Group conducted a visit program to Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. Ulsan Plant and L&F Co., Ltd. for enrolled students over two days from the 7th to the 8th.
The 30 students who participated in the event spent time understanding the secondary battery manufacturing process and enhancing their practical skills through industrial site tours.
Students from Gyeongnam Information College are visiting the L&F factory and taking a commemorative photo.
Shim Jae-hyung, head of the Battery Innovation Convergence College Project Group, said, “I hope students directly visit excellent companies related to secondary batteries, develop interest in the related industry, and take this as an opportunity to grow into specialized talents.”
The Battery Innovation Convergence College Project is a project investing a budget of about 40 billion KRW by 2026 to foster human resources and create new value in the rapidly growing secondary battery industry through a free and autonomous educational system without restrictions between universities.
Gyeongnam Information University, together with Chungbuk National University, Inha University, Gachon University, and Pusan National University, formed a consortium and was selected for the advanced field Innovation Convergence College Project in the secondary battery sector, receiving a total of 10.2 billion KRW this year to jointly develop and operate educational curricula.
