On the 7th, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that Oh Young-jin, CEO of WizOn Cooperative, made a large designated donation of 5 million won to the hometown love donation fund project, the ‘Developmental Disability Youth E.T Baseball Team Support Project.’
CEO Oh, who is listed as a major designated donor, suffers from muscular dystrophy, a condition where muscle cells do not grow and are destroyed, but he is the founder of ‘WizOn Cooperative,’ established to create a world where people with and without disabilities coexist.
CEO Oh contributes to improving the social and economic status by employing more than half of his staff as people with disabilities, and through efforts such as ▲promoting web accessibility for people with disabilities ▲mapping wheelchair convenience facilities ▲producing portable mobile ramps ▲developing the low-floor bus reservation app ‘WeBus,’ he achieves annual sales of 300 to 400 million won and holds numerous awards.
CEO Oh said, “While living in Daejeon and running a business for people with disabilities, I was deeply moved and strongly agreed with Dong-gu, Gwangju’s ‘Developmental Disability Youth E.T Baseball Team Support Project,’ a fund project for people with disabilities,” adding, “I hope to continue supporting Dong-gu as it leads the way toward becoming a warm city that embraces people with disabilities.”
