Leading K-POP girl group BLACKPINK has established itself as the world's top girl group since their debut in 2016, with every released song becoming a hit.

They have left monumental footprints in K-POP history, including being the first K-POP girl group to achieve double million-seller status, topping the US Billboard 200, becoming the first Asian artists to headline Coachella and Hyde Park, and conducting the largest world tour by a female Korean singer. BLACKPINK’s influence as a global top artist continues to grow daily, both as a group and as solo performers.

All four members have led trends as representative style icons, influencing not only the musical domain but also the broader popular culture, steering trends in the K-POP industry. Their official YouTube channel boasts 92.1 million subscribers, ranking first among all male and female artists worldwide, solidifying their status.

Recently, they were recognized for their role as ambassadors for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), receiving the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) from King Charles III of the United Kingdom, further strengthening their "team brand value."

However, the status of individual exclusive contracts for the members outside of group activities remains unknown. Each member has successfully pursued careers as singers or actors and gained international recognition as ambassadors for global luxury brands, making it challenging to meet the expectations of all four members.

Consequently, some speculate that certain members might leave YG individually and follow a "separately yet together" approach, balancing solo activities with team activities under YG, similar to other famous groups. YG has remained reserved on individual exclusive contracts, stating that discussions are "ongoing."
