Modetour "Over 120,000 Overseas Travelers Sent Last Month... 139% Increase YoY"

Modetour announced on the 4th that the number of outbound travelers for overseas trips (including package tours and airline tickets) last month reached approximately 128,000, an increase of about 139% compared to the same period last year.

For departures in November, the number of overseas package tour reservations was 86,101, and airline tickets were 41,426, representing increases of 215% and 60% respectively compared to the same period last year. The company explained that this is the highest figure since February 2020, before the start of COVID-19.

By region, Southeast Asia accounted for the largest share at 54%, followed by Japan (24%), China (8%), South Pacific & Americas (7%), and Europe (5%). In particular, the Southeast Asia region saw a 20% increase compared to the previous month, which the company analyzed as a result of growing preference for warm, short-distance popular vacation spots as the full winter season begins.

The overseas package tour reservation rates for the winter season also showed steady growth, increasing by 110% in December, 134% in January, and 87% in February. Additionally, Modetour’s charter flight products, launched in partnership with airlines such as Korean Air targeting next year’s Lunar New Year holiday, reportedly have a sales rate of 70%, mainly for destinations like Phu Quoc, Kota Kinabalu, and Nha Trang.
