KODEX US FANG Plus (H), No.1 in 1-Year Return Overall

Samsung Asset Management's KODEX US FANG Plus (H) achieved the highest return among all exchange-traded funds (ETFs) solely based on portfolio performance without the influence of exchange rates.

KODEX US FANG Plus (H), No.1 in 1-Year Return Overall

On the 28th, Samsung Asset Management announced, "KODEX US FANG Plus (H) recorded a one-year return of 73.8%, ranking first in performance over one year in the entire ETF market, including leveraged products," adding, "It posted high returns across all periods, including 14.7% over one month, 17.2% over six months, and 85.3% year-to-date."

This product invests evenly in 10 global leading companies across various innovative sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, metaverse, electric vehicles, and platform companies, rather than focusing on a specific theme. It includes electric vehicle company 'Tesla', semiconductor company 'NVIDIA', AI companies 'Microsoft' and 'Alphabet (Google)', metaverse company 'Meta', 'Apple', platform company 'Amazon', and 'Netflix', among others. The portfolio consists of 10 companies, including 8 large-cap representative companies (Mega Cap 8) with large market capitalizations, each weighted approximately 10% using an equal-weighting method.

KODEX US FANG Plus (H) is the only hedged product in Korea that allows investment in leading US technology stocks without exposure to exchange rate fluctuations. It is not affected by potential dollar depreciation that may occur if US interest rates stabilize and decline in the future.

Im Tae-hyuk, Executive Director of ETF Management at Samsung Asset Management, said, "This is a currency-hedged ETF that allows equal-weighted diversified investment in core US technology stocks and enables investment regardless of fluctuations in the dollar's value." He added, "As investment sentiment toward big tech companies has significantly improved, this product is recommended for investors who want to invest in US growth stocks."
