The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced on the 24th that it won the Grand Prize in the Marketing PR category at the '2023 Korea Communication Awards.'
Celebrating its 33rd year, the 2023 Korea Communication Awards recognizes communication-related fields across a total of 25 categories, including printed newsletters and broadcasts issued by public institutions, associations, organizations, and government agencies. It is organized by the Korea Association of Communication Professionals and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, among others.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency was recognized for winning the Grand Prize in the Marketing PR category by conducting an interactive MBTI campaign that strengthened the connection between 'healthy overseas travel' and 'daily life,' thereby increasing individual engagement. Additionally, it produced a video showcasing the role and importance of the National Quarantine Station in responding to imported infectious diseases and public health crises, as well as the duties of quarantine officers, which earned the Busan International Advertising Executive Chairman Award in the 'Advertising and Public Service Campaign' category.
Park Jong-ha, Director of the Quarantine Policy Division, stated, "Taking this award as an opportunity, we will promote a quarantine culture where citizens themselves participate in preventing overseas infectious diseases throughout the entire travel process by adhering to personal hygiene and preventive measures, thereby realizing a healthy society free from overseas diseases."
