Gurye-gun Successfully Concludes Multicultural Harmony Festival

Cheerful Sports Day, Multicultural Families' Talent Show, and More

On November 19, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it successfully held the 2023 Multicultural Family Harmony Festival at the Gurye-gun Indoor Gymnasium, attended by about 400 people including multicultural families and local residents.

The event featured a variety of programs, starting with a pre-event performance rock (樂) concert, followed by a cheerful sports day for multicultural families and a talent show for multicultural families.

In addition, free experience booths were set up, including world costume and play experiences, international flag bracelet making, Fly! Dart, Asian dessert corner, and Pepero making.

Kim Nam-tae, director of the Gurye-gun Family Center, which organized the event, said, “Through the Multicultural Harmony Festival, I hope all local residents live happily with love,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to ensure the stable settlement of multicultural families.”

Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “I hope that multicultural families will be stably integrated into the local community by becoming one beyond nationality, age, and class, laughing, chatting, and enjoying together.”
