Busan Gijang-gun, Establishment of Basic Concept and Plan for Forest Recreation Project

Busan Gijang-gun recently commissioned a project for the 'Basic Concept and Basic Plan Establishment for Forest Recreation Projects,' marking the official start of discovering and promoting customized forest recreation projects.

Earlier, from February to July, the county conducted the 'Forest Recreation Project Site Selection and Feasibility Review Service' to identify candidate sites for forest recreation projects and establish a project blueprint.

Candidate sites within the county's forests were evaluated based on a total of 12 criteria, including legal restrictions and environmental ecology, resulting in the selection of six project sites: one priority project site and five long-term project sites.

This project will initially focus on the priority project site, Angok Soryuji District, among others. Through this task, the county plans to comprehensively analyze the current status and development conditions of the project sites and establish a basic plan for the full-scale promotion of forest recreation projects in Gijang-gun.

In particular, the Angok Soryuji District currently hosts the Andersen Theme Forest, and nearby, the Andersen Village and Fairy Tale Village construction projects are underway. When forest recreation facilities are established in the future, it is expected that linking with existing facilities will maximize the project's effectiveness.

The county is currently issuing the service contract and proceeding with the selection process for the task performer, with the project scheduled to commence in December and be completed by June next year.

County Governor Jeong Jong-bok stated, "We will continue to make efforts to select the optimal locations within the county's forest areas and promote forest recreation projects step by step so that Gijang-gun can be reborn as a forest recreation city."
