Korean Market Leads Sales
Accounting for 48% of Domestic Sales Share
iHerb announced on the 17th that the cumulative sales of its private brand (PB) probiotic 'CGN LactoBif' have exceeded 10 million units.
iHerb stated that all products of the probiotic CGN LactoBif, launched by the PB California Gold Nutrition (CGN), have sold more than 10 million units in total since their release until August.
They explained that sales in the Korean market are leading the overall product sales performance. iHerb revealed that over 48% of CGN LactoBif's global sales occurred in Korea. During the September anniversary discount promotion period, CGN LactoBif also ranked first in sales on iHerb Korea.
iHerb analyzed that the product is popular in the Korean market because Korean consumers have a high preference for probiotics and tend to carefully check and analyze product ingredients.
CGN LactoBif contains eight types of premium active probiotic strains. One advantage is that the foil capsules are individually sealed, allowing for room temperature storage with less risk of spoilage.
iHerb regularly conducts iTested on its PB products. This is a scientific inspection by a third party to verify the authenticity of nutritional content and to periodically prove product safety through microbial analysis and heavy metal testing. The inspection results can be checked on the product detail page. It is explained that CGN LactoBif undergoes iTested approximately every six months to verify the number of probiotics and check for microbial and heavy metal detection.
CGN LactoBif is segmented by probiotic counts ranging from 5 billion to 30 billion, 65 billion, and 100 billion. It offers various products such as 'CGN LactoBif Pet' to care for pets' gut health, and 'CGN LactoBif Cran-Max' which includes natural cranberry concentrate 'Cran-Max'.
