Development of Export-Only Products Tailored to Local Markets
Cabrew announced on the 16th that it will launch ‘Lemon Sulsul,’ an export-only product for Taiwan, in collaboration with GS Retail.
Since early this year, Cabrew and GS Retail have been working together to develop a ‘beer exclusively for export to Taiwan.’ The two companies decided to develop a popular ‘lemon-flavored’ beer to target local tastes that enjoy fruit-flavored beers such as mango and peach. Additionally, to appeal to young Taiwanese customers who prefer characters and Hangul, they used a ‘lemon pig character’ and the Hangul name ‘Lemon Sulsul’ prominently on the packaging.
Lemon Sulsul is an ale beer with a low alcohol content of 4%, making it easy and casual to drink. Its light throat feel and the fresh, sweet, and tangy lemon taste and aroma provide a clean and refreshing sensation. It pairs excellently with representative Taiwanese dishes such as dim sum and beef noodle soup.
Cabrew expects Lemon Sulsul to capture the strong fruit beer enthusiast base in Taiwan. Lemon Sulsul is available at convenience stores in Taiwan and is priced at 109 Taiwan dollars (TWD) per can.
