Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted the '2023 Honorary Public Hygiene Inspectors Job Training' for 42 honorary public hygiene inspectors at the City Hall Council Large Conference Room.
The city organized the training to cultivate inspectors with the appropriate knowledge and qualities to support public hygiene-related tasks and to promote the advancement of the level and services of public hygiene establishments.
Honorary public hygiene inspectors carry out guidance and inspections of public hygiene establishments, support evaluations of public hygiene services, and engage in various hygiene-related promotional and enlightenment activities to improve the hygiene and service standards of public hygiene establishments.
The job training held on the 8th included ▲ duties and activity guidelines of honorary public hygiene inspectors ▲ public hygiene management theory ▲ recent amendments to the Public Hygiene Management Act ▲ emergency first aid safety education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
In particular, education was provided on bedbug response measures and control methods, which have recently become a nationwide issue.
Lee Jong-min, Director of the Health and Hygiene Division, stated, “We will work together with honorary public hygiene inspectors to improve hygiene service standards so that citizens can use hygienic and pleasant facilities such as beauty salons and lodging establishments.”
