ABU is an organization established in 1964 to protect the interests of Asia-Pacific broadcasters and strengthen cooperation. It is the world's largest international broadcasting organization, with over 250 member broadcasters and media-related institutions from 65 countries.

This year's ABU General Assembly is being held in Seoul from the 27th of last month until the 1st of next month. This is the fourth time the General Assembly is hosted in Korea, with about 240 participants engaging in various events such as panel sessions and expert discussions.

Participants in the cultural and tourism programs visited representative Korean tourist sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Blue House area, and Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, as well as the Samsung Innovation Museum, where they could observe Korea's industrial technology in semiconductors and displays.

Kim Jang-sil, President of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "We aimed to provide ABU General Assembly participants with an opportunity to learn about Korea's economy, history, and culture, and to experience present-day Korea." He added, "We hope that various broadcasting programs featuring Korea will be planned in many countries, increasing interest in Korea and leading to actual visits to Korea."
