A man in his 50s, who was caught driving under the influence after being reported by a coworker, was arrested by the police for attacking the coworker with a weapon.
According to the Jinju Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 30th, Mr. A, in his 50s, was apprehended on suspicion of wielding a weapon against Mr. B, also in his 50s, near an apartment in Gajwa-dong, Jinju City, at 5:43 p.m. on the 28th.
Mr. B was stabbed in the abdomen by the weapon Mr. A used and was taken to the hospital for treatment. It has been reported that his life is not currently in danger.
It is known that Mr. A held a grudge after Mr. B reported to the police that he had been drinking and driving, which led to his DUI being exposed, and subsequently attacked him with a weapon.
The two had reportedly experienced conflicts while working together at the company.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, who was caught at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, but it was dismissed, and he is currently under investigation without detention.
