Dobong-gu Ssangmun Station Dulleo Shopping Street has once again been given an opportunity for revival.

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that Ssangmun Station Dulleo Shopping Street was selected for the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Local Commercial Area Revitalization Project, securing 30 million KRW in city funds, and plans to promote various events and activities to increase shopping street sales.

Ssangmun Station Dulleo Shopping Street, selected as the target area for this local commercial area revitalization project, is adjacent to Ssangmun Station, has a large floating population, and has high commercial growth potential as it was used as a filming location for "Reply 1988."

To revive the commercial area, which has been stagnant due to sales decline amid COVID-19, the district formed a promotion team together with the Ssangmun Station Dulleo Shopping Street Merchants Association, and plans to induce customer visits by implementing ▲ a Onnuri gift certificate payback and prize draw event for customers using the Dulleo Shopping Street ▲ and various events linked to local resources such as culture and arts.

Additionally, through anchor stores centered around popular restaurants in the Dulleo Shopping Street area, the district will promote the commercial area and further enhance the latent commercial potential through linked projects that leverage the geographical advantage of being close to Ssangmun Station and Ssangmun Market, which have high foot traffic.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “The project funds secured through this selection will give momentum to initiatives aimed at attracting new customers,” and added, “We will continue to inject new vitality into the commercial area through local economic revitalization projects that preserve the unique characteristics of alleyway commercial districts.”
