Recruitment for the 23rd Seongbuk Cooperative Village School Students

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will operate the '23rd Seongbuk Cooperative Village School' for two weeks starting October 17, under the theme of 'Starting a Business from a Village Cooperative (Startup and Business Model Operation)'.


This theme is planned as a practical course for operating cooperatives established based on the local community, linked with the basic education of the cooperative village school held in the first half of the year. Any resident interested in cooperatives can attend free of charge.


The lectures consist of a total of four sessions covering various courses necessary for cooperative startup and operation, including ▲ Principles of cooperative operation ▲ Utilization of operating funds and support systems ▲ Business model development ▲ Lean Canvas composition ▲ Drafting of articles of incorporation and regulations ▲ Hands-on practice for building an online system using digital transformation.


The education will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from October 17 to October 26 on the 6th floor of the Seongbuk-gu Village Social Economy Center, running for two hours from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.


Applications can be made online through the banner on the Seongbuk-gu Office website or the QR code on the poster, with the registration period from October 4 to October 17. For inquiries related to the education, contact The Eum Cultural Arts Education Cooperative or the Kakao Channel ‘Seongbuk-gu Cooperative Council’.


Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu said, “Through this cooperative village school, I hope Seongbuk-gu cooperatives receive much help in startup and operation to grow into solid and competitive social economy organizations, and that by realizing social value within the local community, Seongbuk-gu will become a sustainable social economy community.”
