Hwang Sun-hong's Team 3 Consecutive Wins... Round of 16 Against Kyrgyzstan on 27th
The South Korean U-24 soccer team, in which Lee Kang-in was selected to start for the first time, won 3-0 against Bahrain in their final group stage match at the Hangzhou Asian Games on the 24th.
Led by coach Hwang Sun-hong, the team finished the group stage with 3 wins and first place in the group, and will play the round of 16 match against Kyrgyzstan, the second place team in Group F, on the 27th. Hwang Sun-hong's team scored 16 goals and conceded none in the three group stage matches.

Coach Hwang Sun-hong checked the condition of ace Lee Kang-in in a situation where the team had already secured advancement to the round of 16 as the group leader. Lee Kang-in, who joined the team late on the 21st, started for the first time and played only 35 minutes in the first half before being substituted by Go Young-jun.
Lee Kang-in was responsible for the midfield along with Jung Ho-yeon and Hong Hyun-seok. The forward line was composed of Cho Young-wook, Ahn Jae-jun, and Jung Woo-young. The defense was handled by Choi Jun, Lee Han-beom, Kim Tae-hyun, and Park Gyu-hyun, with Min Seong-jun guarding the goal.
Despite the short time on the field, Lee Kang-in injected energy into the team with several sharp passes. Bahrain showed focused marking by committing two fouls against Lee Kang-in just 4 minutes into the match.
South Korea took the early momentum with a shot from Jung Woo-young in the 2nd minute of the first half. Lee Kang-in won a foul, and Jung Woo-young directly connected the free kick to a shot. Jung Woo-young's shot narrowly missed to the left of the goalpost.
The first half continued with a frustrating flow. As seen from the 9-1 shot count in the first half, the match was one-sided but no goals were scored. Unlike the first two matches where 13 goals were scored, the finishing was disappointing. Only one of the nine shots in the first half was on target.
In the 22nd minute of the first half, Cho Young-wook headed a corner kick from Hong Hyun-seok but unfortunately missed to the right. In the immediately following attack, Cho Young-wook received passes from Lee Kang-in and Jung Woo-young and connected a sharp header, but it went straight to the opposing goalkeeper.
In the 35th minute of the first half, Lee Kang-in delivered a sharp left-footed cross to Jung Woo-young, but Jung Woo-young's header slightly missed to the left side of the goalpost. Lee Kang-in was substituted by Go Young-jun immediately after this cross.

The first goal came in the 16th minute of the second half. Hong Hyun-seok delivered a cross from a free kick opportunity, which Lee Han-beom connected with a header to score the opening goal.
In the 29th minute of the second half, Baek Seung-ho scored a refreshing long-range additional goal. Baek Seung-ho received a pass from Song Min-gyu inside the penalty box and connected a powerful right-footed long-range shot from the center of the arc to score the second goal.
Go Young-jun, who was substituted in for Lee Kang-in in the 35th minute of the first half, scored the clinching goal in the 39th minute of the second half. Go Young-jun skillfully received a long cross from Hong Hyun-seok in the midfield inside the penalty box with his right foot and then poked the ball in with his right foot to split the opponent's goal.
