Regarding the reason for the resolution to recommend the dismissal of Chairman Nam, it stated, "He did not actively pursue improvement measures regarding the wage structure issues of higher-ranking positions at KBS and the excessive operation of welfare systems," and "neglected his management and supervisory duties, further worsening KBS's management situation."

It also pointed out, "Due to controversies such as excessive use of corporate credit cards, investigations by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission are underway, resulting in a loss of trust as a KBS director, damaging KBS's honor and lowering public trust."

The KCC stated, "It has been judged that it is no longer possible to perform appropriate duties as a KBS director, and after prior notification according to the Administrative Procedures Act, it was resolved to recommend dismissal."

Regarding the dismissal resolution for Director Jung, it was noted, "She was indicted without detention on charges of obstruction of official duties by deception as a defendant in the TV Chosun re-approval screening score manipulation case, damaging EBS's honor and lowering public trust."

It added, "It was judged that normal duty performance as an EBS director is impossible, and after prior notification and a hearing according to the Administrative Procedures Act, it was resolved to dismiss her."

Meanwhile, the KCC also conducted a dismissal hearing for Kwon Tae-seon, chairman of the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation, the major shareholder of MBC. Accordingly, the proposal and resolution for Chairman Kwon's dismissal are expected to be made soon.
