Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) successfully held a welcome performance at 7 p.m. on the 10th at the Seoul City University Auditorium for Jamboree members staying at dormitories of Seoul City University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

On the 8th, the district provided various experience programs at the Seoul Korean Medicine Promotion Center and Dapsimni Film Media Art Center for participants who left early from the ‘2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree’ and were staying at university dormitories in the area. Additionally, a welcome performance was arranged so that participants could create joyful memories in Dongdaemun-gu.

About 750 Jamboree members from Taiwan and Switzerland attended the performance, which featured Samulnori, a traditional Korean percussion performance, the ‘Gambler Crew’ B-boy show?winners of over 50 international competitions?as well as street dance and band performances, providing a variety of entertainment over approximately two hours.

That afternoon, Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, visited the dormitory of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies where the participants were staying and offered words of encouragement.

Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu said, "I hope this performance will remain a good memory for the approximately 750 Jamboree members staying in our district," and added, "We will actively support the safe participation in beneficial programs during the remaining period."
