Subsidiaries Can Employ Too!… LIG Nex1, Defense Industry's First to Promote 'Standard Workplace for the Disabled' On the 10th, LIG Nex1 and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled signed an agreement to establish a subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled at Pangyo House to create jobs for people with disabilities.

A subsidiary-type Standard Workplace for the Disabled is a system where a business owner with a mandatory employment quota for disabled persons establishes a subsidiary that meets certain requirements, such as employing at least 10 disabled workers. The disabled employees hired by the subsidiary are considered as employed by the parent company, which counts toward the employment rate and reduces the levy burden.

Based on this agreement, LIG Nex1 plans to establish a subsidiary-type Standard Workplace for the Disabled in the first half of next year, hiring 29 disabled employees and operating with a total of 41 employees, including 12 non-disabled workers.

They will work in caf? and bakery-related positions at locations such as Pangyo, Yongin, Daejeon, and Gumi House, and plan to gradually expand the service sector and increase the scale of hiring in the future.

Kim Ji-chan, CEO of LIG Nex1, said, “We will spare no effort in creating jobs for disabled people as much as we invest and show interest in developing advanced defense technology,” adding, “We will faithfully fulfill the company’s social responsibility through the employment of disabled workers.”
