KT Supports 3 Promising Startups in Daejeon "Providing Funding and Space"

KT Discovers Innovative Companies in Daejeon Following Daegu
Daejeon City, Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, and Shinhan Financial Group Collaborate
Selected Companies Receive Commercialization Funding and Other Benefits

Following its collaboration in Daegu last July, KT continues to contribute to the regional economy by fostering innovative companies through a startup cultivation partnership at the Daejeon Creative Economy Center (Daejeon Chang-Gyeong Center). On the 11th, KT announced, "Together with Daejeon Metropolitan City, Daejeon Chang-Gyeong Center, and Shinhan Financial Group, we have launched the ‘Daejeon Startup Open Space D-Bridge Support Project’ to support promising startups in the Daejeon area and have selected three science convergence startups for future growth support." These are 'Artificial Intelligence Factory', 'Stress Solution', and 'Blue Whale Company'. In addition to technology verification (POC) and growth funding support, KT will provide commercialization promotion and mentoring, as well as support for residency at the Daejeon Startup Open Space.

Artificial Intelligence Factory offers knowledge-based chatbot services and external API-integrated chatbot services on an on-premises platform. KT plans to explore the potential use of these services for monitoring and response tasks related to KT’s network. An on-premises platform refers to an environment where a company or organization operates its own IT infrastructure independently.


Stress Solution is developing a healing sound called ‘Healing Beat’ linked to heart rate and is currently undergoing clinical trials. KT plans to consider utilizing stress indices for the development of Health Diabetes Twin (Type 1 and 2 diabetes management), which is underway at KT. Health Diabetes Twin is an AI technology designed to assist in diabetes management. Blue Whale Company is developing a solution that matches and intermediates the sharing of idle spaces, allowing users to utilize desired locations, sizes, and durations. KT plans to integrate its existing solutions and technologies to establish Daejeon as a hub for securing regional idle spaces and expand partnerships. KT stated, “We will actively support promising science convergence startups to grow together with KT.”
