Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) signed a joint business agreement on the 6th at the district office with 11 companies participating in the 1st ‘Gangnam Embraces Digital’ open innovation and 8 local social welfare organizations.
In April, through the 1st ‘Gangnam Embraces Digital’ open innovation event, the district selected 5 companies to apply smart technology to administration in demonstration projects.
In this joint business agreement, 6 additional companies wishing to participate in demonstration projects joined alongside the 5 selected companies.
The 11 companies?▲Ninewatt ▲JCF Technology ▲GSIL ▲PJ Factory ▲Fintel ▲Removing Company ▲Maketon ▲Seven Point One ▲iMedicine ▲WhatWeCare ▲InHand Plus?will carry out welfare demonstration projects at 8 social welfare centers (Gangnam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Nonhyeon Senior Welfare Center, Seongmo Jae Welfare Center, Suseo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Suseo Myeonghwa Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Apgujeong Senior Welfare Center, Cheong-eum Welfare Center, Hasang Disabled Welfare Center).
They also plan to conduct demonstration projects in various administrative fields, including pedestrian safety on elementary school routes.
Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, “We will proactively apply the innovative digital technologies and expertise of smart technology companies to Gangnam-gu’s administrative sites,” adding, “We will continue to lead the realization of a smart city Gangnam where residents can live safer and happier lives.”
