In some farmlands within Umyeong-ri, Sudong-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, rocks have been left unattended for years, and Hamyang-gun's crackdown has not been carried out, putting farmland administration under scrutiny.

On the 22nd, a reporter confirmed on-site that rocks were left as they were on farmland at 4 Dap, Umyeong-ri, Sudong-myeon.

Local farmers expressed concerns about secondary environmental pollution but also called it insensitive administration regarding the county's environmental management.

Additionally, rocks have been unsightly left in several places on multiple plots including 58-1 Dap, Hagyo-ri, Sudong-myeon. These rocks came from the Ssangyong Construction highway project between Hamyang and Ulsan, and there are concerns about water pollution as rainwater flows down onto farm roads without any countermeasures.

This is considered an inappropriate way to dispose of rocks from the Ssangyong Construction highway site between Hamyang and Ulsan, and there are calls for thorough investigation by the authorities.

Despite this situation, the county's guidance and crackdown, which should supervise this, are almost nonexistent, causing residents' concerns and dissatisfaction to grow. It is practically seen as tacit approval or overlooking.

Moreover, although dust generation is severe, efforts to reduce it are barely visible.

Regarding this, a local resident visited Hamyang-gun and informed the farmland officer about these facts. When asked about temporary use permits or development activities for 4 Dap, Umyeong-ri, Sudong-myeon, the response was, "No permits have been issued for that plot."

A county official explained, "We will check the site and related departments and take measures as soon as possible."
