Walk Together on Gangdong Greenway and Enjoy the Summer Night Concert

Held at Iljasan Lawn Square from 5:10 PM on the 10th... Participation possible without separate application

Expecting residents to take care of their health amid busy daily lives and create happy memories with family and friends



Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) will hold the 95th Gangdong Greenway Walking Contest and Summer Night Concert together at Iljasan Park Lawn Square from 5:10 PM on the 10th.


This year, the event is hosted by the Gangdong-gu Sports Council and sponsored by "Healthy Gangdong." The program will proceed with the walking contest in the first part, followed by the concert in the second part, and any resident can participate without a separate application.


The walking contest will take place on a course of about one hour, gathering at Iljasan Lawn Square, passing through Haemaji Square and the camping site, and returning to the lawn square.


Various side events such as a pre-event performance by the Seoul City University cheering squad (Amicus) and the Gangdong-gu Taekwondo Demonstration Team, health gymnastics by the Lee Ki-im Gymnastics Team, and a raffle will also be prepared.

After the walking contest, the summer night concert will be held for about 80 minutes starting at 7:20 PM. The concert will begin with a joint performance by the female choir and senior choir belonging to the Gangdong-gu Arts Troupe, followed by popular classic songs performed by representative singers of the 70s and 80s, Yang Hee-eun, and the female vocal duo Davichi. It is expected to offer a variety of genres that all age groups can enjoy.


Mayor Lee Soo-hee said, "Although daily life is busy, I hope many residents will participate by using their weekend evening time," and added, "I hope this event helps everyone take care of their health and create happy memories with family, friends, and loved ones."
