Enjoying a 'Hotel' at Home... Sangmu Central Xi Guesthouse Draws Attention

Recently, the introduction of guesthouse facilities has been increasing mainly in luxury apartments. As residential trends shift to satisfy various needs such as gatherings and business spaces, guesthouse facilities are also gaining attention. Additionally, on-site guesthouses within complexes are receiving positive responses as convenient spaces for relatives visiting the home.


In fact, most apartments operate on-site guesthouses at prices lower than nearby accommodation facilities, resulting in high satisfaction among residents and visitors. An industry insider explained, “Having an on-site guesthouse is popular because it can be used as lodging or party venues for family gatherings, anniversaries, holidays, and vacation visitors. Especially, it is more affordable than hotels or condominiums, and guests can use it comfortably, leading to high satisfaction for both residents and visitors.”


'Haeundae Doosan We've the Zenith,' located in Udong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, is already famous as an apartment with a guesthouse. The guesthouse in this complex can be conveniently accessed via a dedicated elevator, and the weekday usage fee is about 100,000 to 150,000 KRW per night, which is half the price of nearby accommodations, while offering better facilities than most pensions. Being near Haeundae, reservations must be made at least a month in advance during vacation seasons, year-end, and holidays.


Meanwhile, ‘Sangmu Central Xi,’ developed by GS Construction in Gwangju Metropolitan City, has also introduced guesthouses, attracting the interest of prospective buyers. ‘Sangmu Central Xi’ features guesthouses composed of three types, including two-room units. Therefore, visitors can comfortably rest, and the space can also be used for parties or business meetings.


On the other hand, Sangmu Central Xi is being developed with 14 buildings ranging from three basement floors to a maximum of 30 floors above ground, totaling 903 households with exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 247㎡. On the top floor of the complex (Building 108), a sky lounge called ‘Club Cloud’ offers panoramic views of Gwangju city and Mudeungsan Mountain, and Gwangju’s first premium residents-only screening room, ‘CGV SALON,’ will be introduced. A fitness center equipped with premium exercise machines from TechnoGym and an indoor golf practice range featuring GDR screen equipment at every station will also be included.


Additionally, premium German kitchen furniture will be provided as standard for all 903 households. The luxury kitchen furniture brands ‘Sie Matic,’ known worldwide for its reputation, ‘LEIGHT,’ established in 1928, and ‘nobilia,’ the number one kitchen furniture brand in the European market, will be applied according to each unit type. Appliances from the German global brand ‘Miele’ and the Italian luxury hood brand ‘falmec’ will also be installed.


The location is excellent. It is convenient to access all areas of Gwangju city via Sangmu-daero, which runs in front of the complex, and it is easy to use Uncheon Station on Gwangju Subway Line 1. Additionally, Gwangju Songjeong Station, Gwangju Airport, and the comprehensive bus terminal are nearby, and shopping facilities such as Lotte Mart Max, Shinsegae Department Store, and E-Mart are close. Furthermore, schools such as Seogwang Elementary, Sangil Middle, Sangil Girls’ High, and Sangmu High are densely located nearby. The 5·18 Memorial Park, a representative park of Gwangju, is within walking distance, and Uncheon Lake Park is also adjacent.


A housing exhibition center is currently operating, and move-in is scheduled for April 2025.
