Suwon-si Conducts Joint Crackdown on Overdue Vehicles with Police Suwon City is conducting a joint crackdown on delinquent vehicles together with the police.

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will collaborate with the police to conduct joint crackdowns on vehicles with unpaid fines during police DUI checkpoints.


On the 7th, Suwon City announced that it will carry out joint crackdowns on vehicles with unpaid fines alongside the police during DUI enforcement in three districts: in June at Gwonseon-gu (Suwon Western Police Station), in September at Paldal-gu (Suwon Southern Police Station), and in October at Jangan-gu (Suwon Central Police Station).


Following last year, Suwon City conducted the first joint crackdown of this year on the 30th of last month in the Maetan-dong area of Yeongtong-gu with the Suwon Southern Police Station.


Suwon City will focus on cracking down on vehicles with two or more unpaid automobile taxes, vehicles with unpaid automobile-related fines exceeding 300,000 KRW, and unregistered vehicles.


A Suwon City official stated, "We will put effort into reducing long-term unpaid local taxes through direct and strong enforcement actions against vehicles with unpaid fines," and emphasized, "We will continue to conduct joint crackdowns with the police on vehicles with unpaid fines to raise tax payment awareness and realize tax justice."
