Considering Increased Tourists with Train Discounts for the 'June Travel Month'

June 2 to 8, Busan Station 2nd Floor New Waiting Room, Showcasing Top 20 Attractions

Busan City will operate the Busan Representative Tourism Souvenir Flea Market on the 2nd floor of Busan Station's new waiting room from June 2 to June 8.

This flea market was decided to be held in anticipation of an increase in tourists visiting Busan, as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization offer various benefits such as train discounts to tourists in celebration of the "Travel Month in June."

The event is promoted through collaboration between the Busan City and Busan Tourism Organization-selected Busan Representative Tourism Souvenir Top 10 Council and the Korail Distribution Busan-Gyeongnam Headquarters.

The flea market will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the 8th, where visitors can see all 20 selected souvenirs from the 1st and 2nd rounds of Busan Representative Tourism Souvenirs.

In addition, various participation events such as souvenir preference surveys and social networking service (SNS) certification events will offer prizes.

The Busan Representative Tourism Souvenir Support Project, which shifted its focus from discovering souvenirs through contests to selecting excellent souvenir production companies since 2019, is promoted by Busan City and the Busan Tourism Organization. Following the first round of Top 10 in 2019, the second round of Top 10 was selected in 2022 and is currently active.

Currently, Busan Representative Tourism Souvenir sales outlets are installed and operating at three popular tourist spots: Busan Station, Gwangalli, and Haeundae.

A city official stated, “We will continue to respond quickly to changes in tourists' consumption trends and strive to revitalize Busan Representative Tourism Souvenirs,” adding, “We plan to introduce souvenirs representing Busan to tourists visiting Busan through various events in the future.”
