Seoul City announced on the 26th that at the 10th Architecture Committee meeting held on the 23rd, the architectural plans for the ‘Dapsimni Auto Parts Shopping Center Urban Maintenance-type Redevelopment Project’ and the ‘Garosu Housing Maintenance Project in the 194 area of Myeonmok-dong’ were approved. Through this review, a total of 826 apartment units, including 140 public housing units, are expected to be supplied.
Near Dapsimni Station on Subway Line 5, in the Dapsimni-dong 952 area of Dongdaemun-gu, a residential-commercial complex with 9 basement floors and 29 above-ground floors will be constructed. The project implementation plan is scheduled to be approved in December this year, with construction starting in 2025. The project site has a total floor area of 190,959㎡, with some basement floors and lower floors designated for automobile-related sales, public contribution facilities, and neighborhood living facilities. Blocks 2 and 3 will have 6 to 29 floors above ground, Block 4 will have 5 to 20 floors above ground, and will include 618 apartment units including 140 public housing units. Block 1 will have 7 to 25 floors above ground and will include 93 officetel units.
This area is part of the Jang-anpyeong district unit planning zone, which is densely populated with automobile parts sales, used car trading, and maintenance businesses, and is designated as the ‘Auto Parts Central Shopping Center Special Planning Zone.’ The design incorporates metal and metal perforated panels, symbolic of the auto parts market, to provide various forms of natural lighting and design variations.
The ‘Garosu Housing Maintenance Project in the 194 area of Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu’ will feature an apartment building with 2 basement floors and 24 above-ground floors. The project implementation plan is expected to be approved in the first half of next year, with construction starting in the second half of the same year. The project site covers a total floor area of 29,373㎡ and will consist of three apartment buildings with 208 units and auxiliary welfare facilities, with four types of units available (exclusive areas of 25㎡, 51㎡, 59㎡, and 84㎡).
The apartment is located within 15 minutes of Jungnang Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Myeonmok Station on Line 7, and various living infrastructures such as Dongbu Market, Jungnang Elementary School, Jeondong Middle School, and Hwibong High School. Among the units for sale, 148 are 51㎡ and 59㎡ types suitable for households of two to three or more people.
Additionally, adjacent to the Seoul-style waterfront sensory hub ‘Jungnangcheon,’ residents can enjoy leisure activities such as cycling and walking. Furthermore, 30% of the entire site area is connected and developed as green space with various tree species such as pine trees and mountain azaleas, creating a lush green environment.
