Energy IoT platform company Nuriplex announced that it will participate in the '2023 Enlit Africa' held for three days until the 18th at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa, showcasing future energy IoT technologies and its AMI solution lineup.
Enlit Africa is an international energy exhibition focused on addressing the lack of energy infrastructure in African countries. More than 250 companies, including Nuriplex, participated in the event.
Nuriplex presented its Africa-customized solution, the 'Prepaid AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Total Solution,' along with a full range of AMI products developed using various communication methods such as wired, wireless, and mobile.
Nuriplex's online prepaid AMI system requires users to pay electricity fees in advance to use electricity, primarily used in African countries with high electricity theft rates. The online prepaid AMI system, which supports various credit charging methods and features remote data monitoring, attracted interest from African power companies and other businesses and buyers.
In February, Nuriplex entered the power AI market by launching the Power Theft Monitoring System (PTMS). The PTMS collects electricity usage data solely through software, learns autonomously, and responds when abnormal patterns are detected.
In response to the frequent electricity theft caused by recent energy price surges in the African region, Nuriplex combined the functions of its prepaid AMI system and the PTMS. By securing an AMI solution optimized for the African region, the company is focusing on expanding its presence in the African market.
