DGIST Partners with Seoul National University to Launch 'Innovative Business Model Development' Initiative

Researcher Yoon Jinhyo and Professor Park Changwoo Agreement

DGIST (President Kook Yang) and Seoul National University (President Yoo Hong-rim) signed an MOU on the 26th for the "Development of Business Models Based on Open Innovation."


Jinhyo Yoon, Principal Researcher at DGIST's Department of Electronic Information Systems, will provide consulting necessary for developing open business models to students in the Engineering Project Management program at Seoul National University's Graduate School of Engineering, and held the first related seminar on the day of the agreement.

Principal Researcher Jinhyo Yoon has developed the largest number of business models in Korea through 10 years of research in the field of open innovation-based business models, and has established himself as a world-class researcher in the field through various papers and publications.


Accordingly, Professor Changwoo Park, responsible for the Engineering Project Management program at Seoul National University, proposed consulting to Principal Researcher Jinhyo Yoon of DGIST to promote research on open innovation business model development among enrolled students.


Researcher Yoon stated, "I am confident that DGIST has global competitiveness in research on open innovation business models," adding, "We will continuously develop by accumulating and strengthening capabilities in open innovation research and business models through collaboration with researchers not only in Korea but around the world."


Principal Researcher Jinhyo Yoon was invited as a visiting professor at the University of Naples Federico II, one of the world's top universities in the field of Hospitality in Italy, and since 2023, has been conducting international joint research on open innovation and business model development with the university's faculty and supervising graduate doctoral students for one year.
