One-on-one consulting offering customized study methods based on MBTI analysis for about 30 elementary, middle, and high school students; Pre-registration from May 2

Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) will hold an intensive briefing session on the high school credit system for about 600 pre-high school students and parents on May 17 at the Yangcheon Cultural Hall Grand Theater to enhance understanding of the policy and help improve self-directed learning ahead of the full implementation of the high school credit system in 2025.

To this end, participants will be pre-registered starting May 1.

The high school credit system is an academic system where students autonomously select and complete various subjects according to their career paths and aptitudes, and graduation is recognized when the accumulated credits reach the required standard. With full implementation scheduled for 2025, interest among parents and pre-high school students is high.

Accordingly, the district has proactively prepared this briefing session to provide tailored educational information.

At the special lecture, instructor Lee Suyeol, a former admissions officer at Kyung Hee University and an advisor for multiple university admissions committees, will cover ▲ predicted changes in admissions due to the implementation of the high school credit system ▲ study methods by grade for elementary and middle school students in preparation for the system ▲ and an overview of high school life under the credit system. Following the lecture, there will be a Q&A session to thoroughly address questions from parents and students.

The special lecture will be held on May 17 at the Yangcheon Cultural Hall Grand Theater from 7 PM for two hours. The target audience includes about 600 elementary and middle school students and parents in the area. Online pre-registrants will receive a ‘High School Credit System Strategy Guidebook’ containing key points of the lecture.

Additionally, the district will conduct one-on-one consulting using MBTI, a personality type indicator popular among the MZ generation, where professional counselors provide customized study methods for local elementary, middle, and high school students.

The target group includes about 30 students from 4th grade elementary to 3rd grade high school within the district. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting May 2 through the district office website’s integrated reservation portal. Participating students will take an online pre-MBTI test and then visit the Career and Academic Experience Center once on a Saturday between May and June to receive one-on-one consulting to establish study strategies suited to their personality and psychological tendencies.

Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, “We prepared this special lecture so that Yangcheon’s young talents can set successful learning and academic strategies in preparation for the full introduction of the high school credit system in 2025. We also operate MBTI one-on-one consulting to foster self-directed learning attitudes with customized study methods tailored to individual characteristics, so we encourage many interested students and parents to participate.”
