The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 26th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual exchange with Sankharapur City, Nepal, and the Um Hong-gil Human Foundation.
This memorandum of understanding was prepared to improve the academic achievement of the Nepal Jeonnam Human School, established in 2020, and to foster global citizenship among Jeonnam students. This is already the third agreement this year.

Through this agreement, the three organizations plan to support volunteer programs and computer education projects through educational and cultural exchanges with public schools in Nepal and to promote additional support measures through mutual consultation.
The Office of Education supported the construction of the Jeonnam Human School (Kalika Sheran High School) in Nepal with a budget of 200 million KRW in 2020.
Additionally, it provided 30 million KRW for purchasing library books and supplies, buying a dormitory washing machine, installing school fences, and setting up a solar water heating system.
Superintendent Kim Dae-jung stated, “The Nepal Jeonnam Human School has improved the quality of education in Nepal and shared hope with Nepalese students,” and added, “I hope that through this agreement, educational and cultural exchanges with Nepal and the Um Hong-gil Human Foundation will become more active.”
